Medical Assistant Online Courses of Distance Education Degree Programs
I am currently a Certified Medical Assistant, I did it all online because of my job and my kids I was not able to do it in class nor did I get hands on training, but i was able to pass my exam on line and went through the whole course and got my certification. I also hold my CNA (certified nursing assistant) that i did go to a class and did the whole hands on training and clinical. I work at a health clinic but not as a Medical Assistant but as a receptionist. I might not have done hands on with my CMA but i did with my CNA i am able to take blood pressures, temp all vital signs. But could i get a CMA job even though i did it on line and didn’t do hands on’ I know all medical terminology the only one thing i do not know how to do is draw blood. Everything else i know. Please help me understand if the CMA online counts towards getting a good job’ At my job know they are needing a Bi-lingual CMA and I am both but afraid to tell my supervisor I have my CMA because I don’t know if online counts.
